“When we decided it was time to downsize our home, we immediately gave Alicia with UCI Realty a call knowing that she has the expertise and experience needed to accomplish the task. On the initial strategy meeting, she listened intently to our list of “would like to haves” along with our list of “must haves” while offering advice and/or approvals along the way. Based on the cohesive plan we established and with the sphere of contacts Alicia already had in place, we had multiple showing on the first day culminating with one serious offer. We ultimately accepted a second offer that came on day two which was tricky because it was over the asking price. We had originally set the price high allowing for negotiation opportunity along with the idea that the home may not have appraised regardless. But, as the deal moved forward, Alicia was on top of everything making sure the verbiage in the offer was to the benefit of both parties and that the appraiser was fully aware of any and all comps in the area that could help our cause. In the end, the home appraised for the asking price and the wording in the documents allowed for a streamlined allowance for the overage amount without incident. It was quite a ride and we can only attribute the success of all aspects of this deal to Alicia’s abilities within her trade.
Her assistance didn’t stop there. She helped us find the new “downsized” home of our dreams in the area we needed to be. That home was a new build so we had to find a 6-month rental in the same general location to get the kids into the right school. Alicia accomplished that task within days and we had everything online for the transition. Perfect.
The selling, buying, renting and moving process is daunting. So many timelines, documents and “to-dos”. Alicia’s assistance and continued care and involvement made this process easy for us. She kept us aware of what we needed to get done and when we needed to do it. She was on hand for all signings to ensure things were as instructed.
